The project, in which INPRE COMPOSITES participates, will develop an innovative circular resin for wind structures and has been selected by the Horizon Europe program.
The primary objective of the ECORES WIND project is to develop an innovative circular resin designed to fit composite structures in wind energy applications, such as blades and nacelles. This resin is designed to minimize the environmental footprint of wind generator components, thus contributing to the sustainability of the sector.
ECORES-WIND focuses on exploring options and alternatives that facilitate greater circularity in the wind industry, promoting extended component life and efficient dismantling at the end of their life cycle.
INPRE COMPOSITES role in the project is to define how the developed recyclable resin will contribute to improve the circularity of components by facilitating the dismantling, disassembly, reuse and recycling processes. By integrating a strategy for dismantling and disassembly, supported by reversible resins, this work package will explore the possibilities offered by the materials to be used in a second life, thus enabling cost-effective reuse within the manufacturing industry.
ECORES-WIND has been selected under the Horizon Europe framework program, specifically in the call HORIZON-CL5-2023-D3-02 (Sustainable, secure and competitive energy supply).
